I think i may have an idea what it is- i think. are you going to the site where you got our current template? if so you have to make sure you grab the right coding.
I remember I couldn't get it to work b/c I kept clicking the side links for things i wanted- like themes. But you need to make sure you click the blogger options- otherwise you will get coding for myspace or something.
however, if this is in not the problem, then details are welcome as to what is :)
