has ruined my life. Her main character's name is Gemma Doyle. I have to change her name now. Help...please.

first: you dont have to change her name b/c of some bitches book (unless that also involves faeries)

if you havent read it then you are not changing it.
i will do some research and see what these books are about.
but keep Gemma, its yours.
Who says you can't have a Gemma, too? No panicking...just write.
The very worst thing that will happen is that you decide to change her name later on...and all that would take is the handy "find and replace" tool on Word.

First: Praino, has anyone ever done a scan to try to figure out how your brain works? I'd be interested in that.
Second: Maria, don't change a name just because someone else used it in a book. There are only so many names in the world; if your character is perfect with the name Gemma, then your character is perfect with the name Gemma. You don't need to worry about comparing it to some other dumb bitch's book.
