OK kids, here is my offical Praino First Day analysis.

I get there at 9, before the girl i am working with-- this is good because it looked like i was early, when in reality i got there by the skin of teeth with 5 minutes to spare. the girl i work with is named Casey, she is really sweet and shy, i would say about 27 since shes been with the company for a few years.

she introduced me to the whole office, and i ll admit it i liked to be showed off like a prized pony like this one:


but we all know i am more like this one:



Then we go to her office and she shows me all the books she has in, poor girl she is literally doing the job of like 3 people, so she had manuscripts and galleys LIKE WHOAH. Then i get showed to my work space its right near her office..... oh whats that go past the little kitchen that gives me free soda and the next little office-- oooh that mine!

yea thats right bitches i got my own office, although it is very small, but it has a big desk when i lay out the galleys- thus the reason i got it. but there was a welcome meghan sign- so that was really sweet. and i have a mac comp, it wasn't set up for me yet, but when it is i will prob be able to email you guys at the very least during lunch.

so lunch Casey and another girl Elizabeth take me out to Bertuccis!!

and you know giving me food the eqilvalent to giving me dimonds, so they won my love with food.

then we decdied to take the highway back ( we were in randolf so its one exit down SOUTH) so they are like "is it north of south" and me on autopilot from the greater b-water land go "NORTH" with all the authority of a dictator. the girls trusted my word b/c 1. they are from the midwest and didn't know and 2. i sounded like i generally knew.

now you know that randolf in the last exit before the split, so we have to take the split get on 95, get of 95 turn around and cross a thousand lanes of taffic in 2 seconds. so clearly i mortified and i just kept saying "Sorry, i kind of fail at life" but they seemed cool with it, and elizabeth, who i think is boss type was like 'whatever i am in no rush to get back"
so praino fails at navigation.

but we get back and i finish my day.

also i can totally put my head phones on, casey even said and did it herself, but i wasnt brave enough tomorrow i will be, maybe. and my closet is so COLD like for realzies, but i guess the building the always freezing and a couple months ago the editing dept blew a fuse b/c all the cublicales in their section all had space heaters running at the same time, clearly these are my kind of people.

but what should i put up in my office?
