ok so this is all for realzies, i was working on this book today (its a cross word) and it needed lines cut- like whoa. so the author was sent the manuscript and was supposed to go through it and mak e the cut. however, i guess this guy is a douche, and it def showed in his "correction."
so i started to go through the book and not only are his clues made of crazy, but his corrections are even more so. Below is a list of the more humorous ones, and yes i also shared this with my boss for the lulz.
Ok so key, original to "correction" is the format it is in. also the italics are my comments.
"keeps the sauce from coagulating" to "keeps the sauce saucy"
"where the cyclotrons was invented" to 'cyclotron's invention place"
…….. or maybe "cyclotron invented here"
"you might be in hot water there" to "place to be in hot water there"
"he played the dad of diff'rent strokes" to " dad player on diff'rent strokes"
just a general clue called "runawaygoer" ….. um yea, proofreader did
fix; but still it was there
"attack that sounds like where shoppers go"-- ok so this answer was 'maul' so i changed the whole clue to "animal attack"
"capital that's the most eastern capital in the US" to " The most
eastern capital US's" ** personally they both don't make a lot of
sense**
"where Ophelia seems to go crazy" to "where Ophelia goes odd" – not
gonna lie I lol-ed, at both.
"astronomer who said "billions" a lot" to "he said "billions" a
lot"—well THAT narrows it down.
'wwII amphibious assault vehicles" "to "wwIi amphibious assaulters"
--- no, just no.
"her hit song was about an overrssponse to a balloons release" to "her
hit song was about an overesponse to balloons"
"the kid who became darth vader" to "kid who'd become vader"
"game where you try to become cardless" to "game for losing cards"
"he played a dictator in "the great dictator"" to" dictator player in
the great dictator"
"state where most blueberries com from"' to "good state for blueberries"

Yeah, this is pretty terrible, except for the fact that I can now picture you making me a crossword puzzle with clues like this. You could include it in your LULZ book!
