And today, this girl came in, and I nearly fell on the floor laughing. She of course came in 20 minutes late, but it was what she was wearing that nearly killed me. She had plaid short shorts in shades of bluish and a blue shirt. That was the normal part. Then she had these crazy yellow bangles on. Her other accessory was bright yellow beaded multi-hooped earrings. These bright yellow, and by bright yellow, I mean sunshine, obnoxious yellow accessories were to accentuate the main article of significance on her: her shoes.
No words can quite describe them, so I'm including a rough picture. 
Picture these beauties now in bright, sunshine, obnoxious yellow. Note that they are a pleather-like material and how pleather might enhance the brightness of the yellow. Yes, it was astounding. I couldn't take my eyes off them for at least 5 minutes.
I do not understand why people wear things...

Now when I first saw that picture of those shoelike things it reminded me of Julia Roberts hooker boots in "Pretty Woman" meets "Gladiator."
But now knowing they are bright yellow just makes think of Big Bird.
I think if I had to witness this in person, I might have thrown up a little. Or gone blind for all the yellowness...
Funny, because I was totally having a convo the other day with someone about how absolutely horrible this whole gladiator sandals trend is.
Yes, exactly my point. Gladiator sandals are bad enough, but to purposely get them in bright yellow?

Ok, here is where I part from the group. I'm a fan of the gladiator sandals. I think they're fantastic. Maybe not so much in the yellow, but I love the ones in the photo that you posted. That's right, I like them, get over it.

maria, now if they were more shoe like, bordering on boots and looked like xena boots, i would totes be for it. however, is not xena boots. its some torture device for feet and legs, in YELLOW.

they are very fashionable. Now I've agreed that I don't support the yellow, but I do support the shoes in general.
